INVIDIOUS adj.

From the Latin for "full of envy".

DEFINITIONS:
Tending to rouse ill will, unpopularity, animosity, or resentment.
Envious.
Unfairly or offensively discriminating or prejudice.
Undesirable, unpleasant, unfavorable.

Synonyms: jealous, envious, green-eyed

EXAMPLE:
After winning the race, her competitors were left with invidious feelings from their defeat.
