90s Inspired Makeup

I took part in MakeupGeek's weekly challenge, again. This time, we were asked to create an era look. While many of the submissions were inspired by the 20s, 50s, 60s, 70s and even the 80s, I decided to rep the 90s. When I think of makeup from the early 90s, I think of matte looks (typically brown eyeshadow) that is blended upward and outward, full brows, beauty marks (a la Cindy Crawford), and berry/red lips. My muses (who I had in mind while I was putting on my makeup) were Aunt Becky from Full House and Brenda and Kelly from 90210, lol. I had trouble with my lighting and my camera, so these pictures don't really do the look justice. Nevertheless, I had fun!

Jeopardy! Online Test

Last night, I took the Jeopardy! online test. I'm technically ineligible to be a conestant for a few more years because I worked for a station that broadcasts the show. But you are still allowed to take the test for fun. It's a good thing I didn't have my heart set on being on the show this year because I did miserably on the online test! It's rather difficult to read the category, clue, think of the asnwer and type it in submit all under 15 seconds. The pressure doesn't help. I'm usually really good at Jeopardy! when I watch on TV but the clues/answers/questions for the online exam were tough. I was only sure of a few and I skipped a bunch. There were a number of categories I wouldn't have been able to answer with all the time in the world. I knew it was going down hill when I got a Baltimore Ravens' question/answer. But I'll continue to play everyday at home. I'm looking forward to the IBM challenge with Watson!

If you haven't ever taken the test or are just curious how it works, take a look at this video that someone recorded. See how well you might have done!

EUREKA!

I am a hardcore Jeopardy! viewer. I play along every single day- never miss an episode! Tonight, one particular contestant stole America's heart and even trended on twitter. Now, a two-day champion, allow me to introduce you to Eureka Nutt, a paralegal from "the Valley" (LA, California). I wonder if "paralegal" is her cover. We all know what goes down in the Valley. She talks about becoming a star on Jeopardy! on her online video but we all know with a name like Eureka Nutt she already is one!

When something is of particular excitement, my friend Valerie and I always say "Yahtzee!" with an accompanied hand gesture. But I think "Eureka Nutt!" might start moving into the rotation of my most used catch phrases! Thank you, Jeopardy- and Eureka, I'm sure you've dealt with this your entire life. Congratulations on ending up on the small screen- but not as a porn star or anything.
