Every Friday, I post a song from the past (be it a few years or several decades old). In an effort to explore new music and discover emerging talent, I thought it would be nice to do a Music Monday segment.
This week's selection is "Seven Stars" by Air (ft. Victoria Legrand).
Air is an ambient music duo from Versailles, France. The band's name is the acronym for Amour, Imagination, Rêve which translates to Love, Imagination, Dream. I think that is so beautiful. For cinema fans, you might be familiar with one of their most popular hits, "Playground Love", which was featured in the movie The Virgin Suicides. It's definitely one of my favorites. Their new album, Le Voyage Dans La Lune (A Trip To The Moon) is scheduled for release on February 6th, 2012.
Victoria Legrand is a singer-songwriter for the Baltimore native indie-pop band, Beach House. I really love their sound as well. Favorite track: "Walk In the Park".
