March Favorites!

Another month has passed and it's time again for favorites! I don't have a ton this month but here are some of the things I have been loving...

My first favorite is MAC's Power Point Eye Pencil in Buried Treasure. This is perfect for hazel or green eyes like mine. It would also complement brown eyes, making them appear more golden. Buried Treasure is a dark, olive green. It's a nice alternative to black as it is nearly the same shade but with a bit of gold sparkle. The slight pop of green provides the perfect amount of color. As with most MAC eye pencils, the formula is rich and very easy to work with. Love!

Next up, is the Coastal Scents 10 Blush Palette. For about $16, you get 10 blushes. I don't have a big blush collection, so this was nice to pick up. The colors are very versatile and I love the sleekness of the palette. It's definitely a steal.

Marc Jacobs' Daisy is a perfume that I love to have on my tray. Not only is it pretty to look at but it smells amazing. It's perfect for spring. It's one of the perfumes I get the most compliments on. It must work well with my natural pheromones., haha. Men and women alike say nothing but wonderful things when I have it on.

OPI's Rumple's Wiggin' was one of my favorite nail polishes this month. It is so beautiful- a creme, lavender. I usually get sick of a color after a few days but I don't want to take this one off! It is definitely one of my favorite OPI polishes out of the 30 or so that I have in my growing collection.

CND's Tutu was one of my other favorite nail polishes of the month. It is the perfect, cool, opaque pink- which I have been searching forever to find. I wore it when I was in my friend's wedding. It's perfect for daily wear or formal occasions. The price is a bit higher than I'd like and it's hard to come by (I ordered mine from Amazon.com) but I'm happy to have it in my collection.

Revlon's Superlustrous Lipglosses are some of my favorites. I have about 10 of them- most, I scored at Big Lots for a buck or two. They are better than my MAC and CHANEL glosses. Lilac Pastelle is a beautiful light purple/lilac. I have been really drawn to the lavender family this year. It works well on its own, paired with a neutral pink lipstick or with a purple lipstick like Revlon ColorBurst in Lilac 001. Gorgeous!

My favorite piece of jewelry this month were these Swarovski earrings that my friend Maggie gave to me as a thank you for being in her wedding. They are beautiful and can be worn dressed up or down!

I love Queen Helene's Cocoa Butter Creme. This is the perfect body moisturizer during the winter months- or any time for that matter. If you apply it after showering at night, by the morning, your skin will feel like a baby's. The best part is that it's very easy to find and extremely affordable. Every woman should have this in her medicine cabinet.

My favorite drink this month was an oldie but a goodie- Amaretto Sour. Sure, you need quite a few to feel anything but they are so delicious! I used to drink them all the time during my first couple years in college.

My fav. movie this month was The Fighter. I really loved Melissa Leo's performance in this film. The whole thing was very well acted. Afterall, you have to support anything with a ginger as one of the female leads! And who can resist Marky Mark and Christian Bale? Not this girl.

My favorite song this month was a late arrival in Katy Perry's "E.T.". No, this is not an April fool's joke. I hate to admit it because she drives me crazy. Her song Firework exemplifies everything that's wrong with the music industry today. But I do like her new video and this song. It's mostly because of the beat and the fact that she's singing about aliens- I have a soft spot for the ETs in our Universe. Krista phone home!

Sounds Familiar: Katy Perry Edition

I just watched Katy Perry's new video for her song E.T. I'll just start by saying that I'm not a fan of Katy Perry (her song Fireworks makes me wish that someone would detonate one inside her vocal chords). But I admit that I do like this song and video. I'm into the whole outerspace, alien thing. For Halloween, I'm already planning on being some sort of futuristic Pleiadian. But on to the point of this post; I think that E.T. eerily sounds a lot like All The Things She Said by t.a.T.u. When I heard E.T. for the first time, all I kept thinking was "This is not enough, This is not enough"... which led me down memory lane and back to those two lesbian singers, t.a.T.u. I don't know if there is a similar musical pattern or rhythm going on or if it's just the off key singing but take a listen for yourself. What do you think?

Floral Inspired Makeup

For this week's MakeupGeek challenge, we were asked to create a look inspired by a flower. I chose one of my favorite flowers- hydrangeas. At my house, we have a hygrangea bush that blooms in late spring. I absolutely love seeing the lavenders, periwinkles, purples, pinks and blues come out. Hygrangeas originated in Japan and are the official flower of 4th wedding anniversaries. In folklore, if someone cast an evil spell on you, hydgrangeas were used to reverse the curse. They represent friendship, understanding, heartfelt emotions and sincerity. This look is a bit avant-garde; certainly not for everyday wear. But I had fun with it!

Products Used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette- Blues, Periwinkles, Lavenders, Pinks, Greens
MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Buried Treasure
MAC Studio Fix Powder, N3
Lancome Blush Subtil Shimmer in Shimmer Pink Pool
NARS Albatross
Lancome Definicils Precious Cells Mascara
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Lilac 001
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Lilac Pastelle
MAC Pigment in Violet (Lips, Flower)

Ireland!

My shih-tzu, Ireland, is 1. Lets just say that her name suits her perfectly because her personality fits all the stereotypes of the Irish. I snapped a couple pictures of her today chewing one of her bones. I absolutely love the sweater she is wearing. It belonged to my first dog, Nikkia, whom I got as a 9th birthday gift from my parents. I miss her everyday but I know she's in a much better place. Ireland looks a bit like Nikkia but their personalities are completely different.

Nail Polish of the Moment: Rumple's Wiggin' by OPI

This is not my hand, although my nails do look similar

I have been really lazy with updating my nail polish of the moments. I've missed quite a few that I will hopefully make time to recap this week. But what I'm loving right now is OPI's Rumple's Wiggin'. It's the most beautiful, lavender, creme polish. I used 3 coats to acheive the perfect amount of opacity. I first saw this nail polish on Khloe Kardashian on E!'s Keeping Up With the Kardashians - yes, I admittedly watch. I think this is a universally flattering shade because it looks beautiful against both Khloe's olive complexion and my porcelain skin. I highly recommend this on either the hands or the toes during the spring and summer months. It has quickly become one of my favorite polishes by OPI!

90s Inspired Makeup

I took part in MakeupGeek's weekly challenge, again. This time, we were asked to create an era look. While many of the submissions were inspired by the 20s, 50s, 60s, 70s and even the 80s, I decided to rep the 90s. When I think of makeup from the early 90s, I think of matte looks (typically brown eyeshadow) that is blended upward and outward, full brows, beauty marks (a la Cindy Crawford), and berry/red lips. My muses (who I had in mind while I was putting on my makeup) were Aunt Becky from Full House and Brenda and Kelly from 90210, lol. I had trouble with my lighting and my camera, so these pictures don't really do the look justice. Nevertheless, I had fun!

Products Used:

Urban Decay Naked Palette: Naked on the lid, Buck in the crease and blended outward
Coastal Scents 88 Palette, 2nd row across, last shadow down- Brown/Orange hue all over the lid
MAC Vanilla- Highlight
Lancome Definicils Precious Cells Mascara- Upper Lashes
Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick in Copper Glaze 330
Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Bordeaux 016
Maybelline Ultra Liner Water Proof Liquid Eyeliner- Beauty Mark
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Whiskey- Upper and Lower Lashes
Maybelline Expert Wear Eyebrow Pencil in Medium Brown
Coastal Scents 10 Piece Blush Palette- Matte Shades Blended
MAC Studio Fix Powder- my natural shade, N3
Nails- Rumple's Wiggin' by OPI

Habitually Chic Questions

I found this set of questions on one of my favorite blogs, Habitually Chic.

1. Favorite book?
My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One Night Stands by Chelsea Handler

2. Who’s your dream client?
Well, this question doesn't apply to me very well.

3. iPhone or BlackBerry?
I have a BlackBerry that has needed to be fixed for months. I'm thinking of switching to the iPhone now that it's with Verizon.

4. Favorite color?
To wear- royal blue. To see/decorate with- pale pink.

5. Favorite place in NYC?
I've never been- I'd like to go in the fall. I have friends from there who say I'm a SoHo type.

6. Person you wish was on Twitter?
Gerard Butler or Sidney Crosby!

7. Favorite film?
I have plenty but one that I'll always be up to watch is Clueless.

8. Diet Coke or coffee?
I gave up Diet Coke for Lent (I drink a lot of it)- so far, so good! I don't like coffee.

9. Favorite scented candle?
It depends on my mood or the season but vanilla or lavender is always nice.

10. Do you have pre-show ritual?
Again, this one doesn't really apply to me. I don't really have any rituals. I'm not OCD.

11. Favorite artist?
John William Waterhouse or any of the other Pre-Raphaelites. They loved redheads.

12. What’s on your iPod?
Where's my iPod would be the better question. If I could send the songs in my head to my device, "Big Jet Plane" by Lady of the Sunshine would be towards the top.

13. Early bird or night owl?
110% night owl. I've always been this way. I get all my creativity in the evening or after midnight. I just love the difference in energy that the night brings.

14. Favorite flower?
I like cream and pale pink roses as well as hydrangeas.

15. What websites do you read daily?
Dlisted.com, Facebook, Twitter

16. What do you think is chic?
Less is more. Pairing classic staples with a trend or two that really works for the individual. Pashminas and aviators, riding boots, black, brown/cognac, pearls, Chanel 2.55 bags, vintage pieces... personality that shines through personal style. As for decor- I'm all about antiques and the shabby chic look.

17. Favorite comfort food?
The official "worst food in America"- Outback Cheese Fries with their amazing ranch dip. My mouth is watering just thinking about how sinfully delicious they are. If I lived closer to Outback, I'd be in major trouble.

18. Subway or taxi?
When I was younger, I used to take the subway to the suburban mall south of Pittsburgh (under normal circumstances, we went to the one in the North). My mom doesn't drive, so when my Dad was at work, it was my only way to get my shopping fix. I take cabs ocassionally but neither very often. Pittsburgh is lacking in the cab department.

19. Favorite city?
I haven't been fortunate to travel much. I will hopefully see many places in the future. One of the few places that I have been, I really liked- New Orleans. I couldn't imagine living there, though! The weather was perfect when I was there but 80s, 90s, 100s + humidity throughout a lot of the year is not something that I would like! I think Paris, Rome and Dublin would be a lot of fun. This reminds me, I need to write my pen-pal from Germany a letter!

20. Favorite quote?
"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
-Eleanor Roosevelt

Elizabeth Taylor, whose younger looks remind me of my mother's, passed away today. Here is one of her quotes that I love:
"I believe in mind over matter, and doing anything you set your mind on."

13 Questions

One of my favorite YouTube gurus, Ingrid, posted a video on her vlog channel answering these questions. Hers were really interesting and they inspired me to answer on my blog.

1. What do you order at Starbucks?
Nothing! I don't like coffee so I don't go there.

2. What's one thing in your closet that you cannot live without?
My UGGS. I've mentioned in other surveys that they are one of the few types of shoes that don't kill my feet. They are so cozy and usually quite comfortable.

3. What's one thing that most people probably wouldn't know about you?
I'm left-handed. Most people don't notice. I'm pretty open with most things about me.

4. Name one thing that you want to do before you die?
Find true love and hopefully have a family... I think these go hand in hand. I want to marry my soul mate and be a mother.

5. What's one food that you cannot live without?
Pizza. Lucky for me, it's one of these easiest to come by.

6. What quote/phrase do you live your life by?
I don't necessarily live my life by any particular quote but one that has stuck with me for a long time is Eleanor Roosevelt's "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." I actually have a wall sign of it hanging in my bedroom-not my ideal place to display it, but it's there.

7. What do you like and dislike about the YT community?
I am fascinated by the world we live in. I enjoy learning about different people and the things that they love. The sharing of information and freedom of expression is what I most admire. The thing I like the least is the negativity. When you put yourself "out there", you always run the risk of being criticized but when people can hide behind their computers, it can sometimes bring out the worst in them.

8. What's your number one most listened to song on iTunes?
I haven't used iTunes since I got my laptop. I still have a gift that I need to use. The song I've listened to the most this year is Radiohead's "Lotus Flower". Of all time? Maybe "Crash Into Me" by Dave Matthews Band or "Wolf Like Me" from TV on the Radio... Who knows? I listen to a lot of music.

9. What kind of style would you define yourself as having?
The vast majority of the time I am in sweats. You would think that I have no knowledge of fashion or any style to speak of. But at my best, my style is a cross between classic (75%) and trendy (25%). Words to describe my stlye include sophisticated, elegant, casual, romantic/feminine, rocker, indie, boho... it depends on my mood, the weather and the occassion.

10. Favorite number?
20. I like the number 2 on its own but I like that 20 is even. It's a mature number but still youthful, lol. 20 was actually one of the best years of my life.

11. Two hobbies?
Shopping- thrifting, finding a good sale, etc. and reading things online. I'm constantly searching about things I'm curious about. I've been told I teach people a lot of things they never knew, haha.

12. Two pet peeves?
When people don't use their turning signal or if they use it too late is one pet peeve. Another would be walking behind someone who is smoking or just being in the presence of cigarette smoke in general.

13. Guilty Pleasure?
Listening to Coast to Coast AM and reading conspiracy web sites/watching YouTube videos. I'm a total nerd. I'm fascinated by all the theories out there on subjects from aliens to 9/11 to 2012.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

As I once wrote in the "Pittsburgh Girl" poem, "Green beer is good for the soul!" This St. Patrick's Day (and a beautiful one it is so far in Pittsburgh), I hope you have a safe and memorable time spent with friends and family. My Mother's side of the family is originally from County Mayo, Ireland. I'm proud to be Irish- I even named my dog, Ireland. Having red hair, everyone assumes that I'm Irish even though my locks likely come from my father's side of the family (Italian, etc.). But today, everyone is 100% of green. Slainte! :)

Lenten Sacrifice: An Update

I originally thought to give up pop during the week for Lent but I changed my mind. Starting last week, I decided to give up pop in its entirety- well, almost. I like juice and I love water but when I'm eating a meal I need to have something else. So, I am allowing myself Ginger Ale. I gave up all other forms of pop- Diet Coke (which I usually have 2-3 cans of per day), Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, etc.

It's not the most difficult thing in the world to give up but I do drink a lot of pop. So, it does remind me of the reason for Lent during those times when I want to have a Diet Coke, etc. I'm going to try and limit my Ginger Ale to one can per day this week, but we'll see how it goes. I will definitely attempt a week of just water (I did it without food, why not?).

What The Bachelor Taught Me

I was surprised as I watched the season finale of The Bachelor. I didn't watch the first time Brad was on the show, so I was able to go into this season with a fresh perspective. Everyone loved Emily from the get go- how could you not? She's eloquent, beautiful and such a sweetheart. She's even from West Virginia. So, as a WVU alum, I was definitely a fan. But I wasn't a fan of Emily and Brad as a couple. He always seemed so unsure and tense around her. I feel like Emily could do so much better for herself. Brad is just, er... different. Chantal and Brad had so much more chemistry! My mouth literally dropped when I saw that Chantal was the first out of the limo.

But on to the things I learned:

Brad's twin brother, Chad, is hot. Brad & Chad, yep. Why do people name their twins things that rhyme or are aliterative in some way? It makes it seem like the parents didn't know they were having two kids and when the babies were born it was an afterthought. "I had my heart set on naming the kid Brad... hmmm, how about Chad for the other one?" "I want to name my baby Melinda. Oh, yeah. What about the other one? I know! Melanie!" It's a little ridiculous.

Looks are always more important than personality. Most people will lie and say this isn't the case but after watching numerous seasons of reality television, I must speak otherwise. Emily is a sweetheart and has a great personality but if she looked like the bartender from Boston, she wouldn't have made it to the final rose. I hate to say it but I think Brad was in love with her looks and not their connection. I know that editing plays a major role in reality TV but I can't recall any episodes where a true connection came through between Emily and Brad. But when Chantal and Brad were on screen, their attraction towards each other was so evident. That's not to say that Brad didn't appreciate things about Emily's personality but the truth is obvious. A man who falls for a girl based on her looks- now there's a controversial statement.

The Bachelor is one of the cheesiest shows on television but I keep watching. Where do they find grown men to sit and talk about their feelings and cry on cue? How many bottles of wine and helicopter rides does it take before new ideas are brought to the table for the direction the show needs to take?

Being single is okay. I've been single for a long time. I feel bad for the women in their early 20s who are on The Bachelor acting as if their life is over if they don't have a man. My number one goal in life is to get married and have a family as well but I'm not hard up for it at 25.

Out of 15 seasons of The Bachelor and 6 seasons of The Bachelorette, I think only two or three relationships actually worked out. But it's somehow still on-air.

Lastly, the poet laureate of Austin, Texas, AKA Bachelor Brad, taught me this mesmerizing quote:
"We're losing the sun but we're gaining the moon."

Happy Fat Tuesday!

Beer- Check
Beads- Check
Boobs- ...Yeah, Not this year

Mardi Gras reminds me of two things- college and New Orleans. Lately, I wish I could be at either of those wonderous places. But alas, I'm in Pittsburgh. For Lent, I'm going to ATTEMPT to give up pop during the week and salt (again). I'm in a wedding in a couple weeks, so I am definitely going to do a cleanse or two and try to get back into my fitness/health regime. Summer is but a couple months away!

Nail Polish of the Moment: Gold Digger by Models Own

I was excited to try the brand Models Own. I picked up Gold Digger from Urban Outtfitters online during its big sale a month or so ago. I also got Top Turquoise but it was back ordered. I thought the packaging was cute and something different and the color ranges were pretty nice. I didn't have any expectations on the formula but I was pleasantly surprised! Gold Digger glided on to my nails and was so easy to work with! I can't wait to try out some more polishes from the line. Gold Digger is a yellow-based gold and reminds me of the New Orleans Saints and my trip last fall. This is a great polish to have in your collection and I definitely recommend it- if for nothing else but the formula! :)

Random Questions

I was reading YouTube beauty guru Euchante's blog and came across this little survey. I've been a little under the weather this week, so I now find myself wide awake at 4 am- but that isn't unusual for me. Here goes!

Have you ever stolen a street sign before-
I don't think so but my Dad mysteriously has a few from our street that "fell".

Do you chew on your pens/pencils-
It's a bad habit but I do chew pens. I have a pet peeve about pens writing properly. So, to combat this problem, I try to buy ones that aren't "chewable".

What is the point of life?-
To love one another- to be a supportive friend and a good family member. To enjoy it! Many people forget to actually live. To make a difference and leave the world a little bit better than how you found it.

Do you get in trouble for things you didn't do?-
I'm sure I have but not regularly.

What do you dip a chicken nugget in?-'
Ranch dressing

Usual bedtime?-
Late. Very late. I'm nocturnal. A full-on night owl.

Legos or Lincoln Logs?-
If I had to choose, Legos. I'm not positive I know what Lincoln Logs are. When I was little, I was usually playing with Barbies, Little People or Polly Pocket. Legos were for the boys.

Ever used a gun?-
No and I have no desire to even be in the presence of one.

Cheetos or Fritos?-
Tough call. As much as I love the taste of artificial cheese flavoring, I'm gonna go with Fritos on this one.

What do you wear to bed?-
Sweats and a t-shirt, pajama bottoms and a tee, or a little pj set.

Would you hit your friend if you found out that he/she were going with your bf/gf?-
I'm not physically violent. I'd be more verbally abusive. Depending on the situation, I'd likely just move on from both relationships.

When you look in a mirror just after waking up, what thoughts runs through your head?-
Am I having a good face day- Is my skin clear, moisturized?

What's the stupidest thing you've done?-
Hmmm. My actions are usually pretty well thought out and I don't have many regrets if any at all. Nothing sticks out.

Would you talk to a stranger on the internet?-
Ofcourse. I do all the time.

What is the best lollipop flavour?-
Cherry/Strawberry types.

If you were walking down a street and somebody sprayed you with water, what would you do?-
Depending on how much water we are talking either yell or laugh it off. In college, people would throw water balloons from balconies and I just flicked them off and tried to avoid being hit.

Who’s car were you last in that wasn’t family?-
My friend Valerie's. We went shopping for my friend's bachelorette party then out for drinks. It was funny.

Are they a good driver in your opinion?-
She drove us all the way to Bonnaroo and back. She's great.

What is your favorite zoo animal?-
I love most animals but I really like the giraffes and elephants- especially the babies.

What food do you eat too much of?-
Pizza. I love it!

What kind of hairstyle do you have?-
Somewhat long, layered, thick, natural, usually parted at the side.

Whats your least favorite food?-
I'm pretty much a natural vegetarian, so the thought of eating something like meatloaf disgusts me. The smell of tuna also makes me want to gag.

What do you do on a Sunday night?-
Watch football during the season, catch up on my favorite TV shows, watch a movie or surf the web.

If you could only use one condiment on your food for the rest of your life, what would it be?-
Heinz Ketchup, ofcourse.

What color are your sheets?-
Beige/Sandy. I desperately need new sheets and a bedspread.

How big is your computer display?-
My laptop is 17.3" and I think my desktop is 20". I'm blind so the bigger the better. I sometimes have my page view setting at 150%.

Ever cried out of happiness?-
I cry at the drop of the hat- good or bad. Yes!

Go to your pictures, what is #33 of?-
My computer is still new, so most of my pictures are basically blog photos. It's a collage of emerald/green gowns worn at this year's Golden Globes.

When you need someone to talk to, who do you go to?-
Uusually my older sister.

What pair of shoes do you wear most often?-
My UGGs. My feet are so distorted that these are one of the few that don't give me many problems. They are so cozy and I think they are cute. I've worn them since before they were on every suburban teen in America and I'll continue to wear them forever. I don't care how cliche or faux paux some people say they may be.

What is your current favorite game?-
I love Scrabble but I never get to play. A good game of flip cup is always fun.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?-
Wine.

What is your favorite pizza topping?-
Extra cheese, parmesan on top. I also like banana peppers or a little pepperoni if the place has the kind I like (I'm pseudo, natural vegetarian, lol).

Louis Vuitton or Dooney?-
I loved Dooney in high school but it's not my style anymore. I'd love to say Louis Vuitton but I can't afford much from there. What I can is so cliche. Either it looks unoriginal or fake. LV but pretty much neither?

Do you believe in the saying, "Once a cheater, always a cheater?"-
Not necessarily. I'm very forgiving/understanding. Some people just aren't capable of being monogamous. I can tell the difference between someone who has made a lapse in judgment or a mistake and when they are just not a good person.

What's in your wallet?-
Unfortunately, not a lot of cash. My ID that is expired. I need to get that renewed ASAP! (I have an extension card). A little bit of a change, maybe a receipt and that's about it. I don't use credit cards.

Losing all your old memories, or never being able to make new ones?-
Very interesting question! I'm only 25. I like to think that many of my best memories are still to come! I'll take losing the ones I have already made. I'm fortunate enough to still have friends from my childhood and a sister that could fill me in! :)

Why do bad things happen to good people?-
God works in mysterious ways. Everything that happens to us, can be used to teach us strength and resilience. Life experience isn't always easy.

Three things you would want if you were stranded on an island?-
This question is getting really old. I'd say sunblock because I can't stay in the sun without it, a working computer w/ a battery that wouldn't die for entertainment and rescue purposes and tons of bottled water/drinks inside a cooler.

Who would you want to bring with you?-
Just for all the feminists out there- a hot man that is strong and smart. He can do everything that I can't (build a hut, find food, entertain me). Someone like Gerard Butler might be fun.

What time do you plan on waking up tomorrow?
I'll probably just stay up and take a nap in the afternoon.

What is your favorite day of the year?-
Christmas time in general is my favoirte but the best day of the year is usually a surprise

Your mom goes to college!-
lol! Sure she does. My parents weren't the college types. Things were much different back then.

Vanilla Ice or MC Hammer?-
Ice, Ice, baby

Done anything illegal lately?-
Not that I'm aware of.

Should Obi-Wan have chopped off Annikan's Head?-
I'm guessing this is some kind of Star Wars reference. That leaves me out of the discussion. I'm into astronomy and I do have nerd tendencies. Maybe I should give those films a shot?

Would you eat a cow eye for a price?-
I don't eat any parts of cows. Poor things. But if the price was very high, I would.

If you could be a mythical creature, what would you be?-
A fairy- particularly one from Hughes' painting "Midsummer Eve".

If you could be on any TV show, what would it be?-
The Office or if Summer Heights High came back and did an American version, I'd love to be a part of that. Something comedic or even a drama that takes place during the renaissance- something like the movie Ever After or The Tudors.

Nail Polish of the Moment: Easy Going by Sinful Colors

Easy Going by Sinful Colors. Photo Courtesy Google Images

I had a job interview yesterday, so I needed to do a neutral polish. I chose Easy Going by Sinful Colors because it is a milky, pale pink. For $1.99 (sometimes on sale for .99 at Walgreen's) it's worth having in your collection. But I don't love this one- it's too white for my liking. I wish it were more of a french pink. The formula is also a bit tricky to work with and starts to look a little rough after a day or so. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect light pink, opaque, nail polish. If you know of one with a creme finish that will compliment very fair skin, please comment! I am going to look into Essie because they seem to have an endless amount of pale pinks in its line. Thanks :)
