Quoteworthy

This beautiful quote was displayed in the window of an adorable store in Franklin, Tennessee. I took the picture while I was visiting my friend, Maggie, who now lives in the Volunteer State.

I'm getting really excited to reread The Great Gatsby and watch the new film adaptation. F. Scott Fitzgerald and Leonardo DiCaprio have always been two of my absolute favorites!

Home Sweet Home! Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Autumn Leaves

PittsburghSkyline.com has some beautiful shots of my hometown. I thought I'd share this one.

Bingburgh

Three of my greatest loves join forces... the internet, Pittsburgh & the Moon! How beautiful is this shot? It's not an aerial picture either. It's likely taken from Mt. Washington which is located adjacent to downtown or "The Golden Triangle" as we lovingly refer to it. We have lots of hills and steep inclines that provide so many gorgeous vistas. I'm strictly a Google girl but Bing might get some love from me today.

The Dark Knight Rises

Christian Bale, where are you? The Dark Knight Rises is filming in my city. Pittsburgh gets pretty enthusiastic when things come to town to shoot. Here is one of the prettiest buildings in our skyline, The Highmark Building, lit up in honor of the movie!

Last night was a beautiful one in the 'Burgh. I wish I would have been on a boat near Heinz Field... lots of people were out and about for the U2 concert. I took a few pictures on my camera phone but this one from The Drunk Yinzer is spectacular. Slainte!

Here are a few pictures I captured from last night (sorry for the bad quality; a BlackBerry Storm does not a Nikon make). It was a gorgeous evening in Pittsburgh. I took my dog, Ireland, on a charity walk to benefit all of the animal shelters in our area. It was a nice event. As usual, the city looked stunning. One of these days, I want to have a picnic near the River Walk. It's one of my favorite parts of the city.

***Gotta love the line "Goin' to Pittsburgh where it's greater" ;) Because everyone vacations in Pittsburgh, right? lol.

Wild & Wonderful

I was shuffling through some of my older pictures when I came across this shot. I took it from my apartment balcony in Morgantown, WV a couple years back. The sunset was so gorgeous that evening. WVU's campus is directly in the center. I loved my time there so much and can't wait to go back and visit. I compare my college experience to something out of a dream. It felt too good to be true and surpassed any expectations that movies or television might have put into my head. The place is that magical. Lets Goooooo Mountaineers!

Summer Sun. Pittsburgh's Evening Skyline.

Last night, I snapped a few of these pictures on my BlackBerry (7:30 pm, 6/11/11). The sun looked bigger than ever and shined so brightly. I thought it was a beautiful glimpse of the city. These were taken from the Inglot Parking garage in the South Side Works.
