Put A Flag On It

MemorialDay13

If you're stateside and observing, I hope you have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend! As far as I'm concerned, it's the unofficial start to summer. My older sister was born on Memorial Day 1984 (her birthday falls on a Tuesday this year), so we've always had a party to celebrate. My Dad is a Vietnam vet, so the flag flies as well. If you're American, take the time to be thankful for the country we live in- the U.S. is far from where it needs to be but its come such a long way from where she started.

Let the rain fall, I don't care...

I'm one of the few people that doesn't mind rain. I love thunderstorms and find them to be extremely relaxing. Yesterday was a beautiful, sunny day in Pittsburgh. I guess Mother Nature saw fit to deliver something different today. It looks to be clearing up, so I doubt the fireworks will be ruined. Even so, Pittsburgh has fireworks every other day (I kid you not). How disappointed can you be when there's always some sort of skyblast happening in the 412? Enjoying the fresh air outside...
