Thank you to Jimmy Fallon for orchestrating this moment of bliss in my summer life! I was ecstatic to see this go down! Growing up in the 90s, Full House was monumental. I still watch episodes every now and again (not more often because I've admittedly seen every single one, several times). I've always hoped for a reunion episode or even a movie. For the time being, this was enough. And *spoiler alert*, when Aunt Becky came out at the end, I may have teared up a bit. If Kimmy Gibbler were there, I may not have been able to hide my emotions. Have mercy!
And for old time's sake, here's another famous band from Full House that none of us could ever forget (okay, maybe a few of you have), Girl Talk! No, not the mashup artist from here in the 'Burgh. The ORIGINAL Girl Talk.
Genius! I admittedly miss playing with my Barbies (and maybe offered to babysit my little cousin so I could). I loved them so much. I would set them up and do real photo shoots with my Mom's camera. If the internet was around back then, I guarantee I would have posted something like this on YouTube. My sister and I always joke about how we made our Barbies' lives scandalous. They were always messing around with the New Kids on the Block dolls or out partying with the 90210 guys. You get the idea.
I was just reading my favorite humor/gossip site, dlisted.com and stumbled upon something I had to share. Michael, the man who writes and runs the blog is not only hilarious but he's also a Generation Y genius. He manages to remind me of things that I forgot about decades ago. Today, Spectra was one of those total recalls.
Spectra was one of my favorite toys to play with when I was little. I think I got her because she was different than the other Barbies on the shelf at Children's Palace toy store. She was metallic pink, shiny, donned in lace, had strands of glitter for hair, owned a beloved dog named 'Spark' (note to self: remember this name) and came from another planet. I guess my interests haven't changed much in 20+ years.
