Heart-Shaped
I've had my shih-tzu, Ireland, for over two years but I just noticed that when she lays down, the coloring of her fur resembles the shape of a heart! The reason I never noticed was because when she's upright, her darker fur extends onto her back. When she lays down for naps or sleep, the line of her back creates the illusion that the fur is heart-shaped! She's such a sweet little girl so I just love this. When I'm laying in bed and look down at her, I only see the heart! So precious :)

When I took a close look at the lineup for this year's Lollapalooza that I will be attending in August, I instantly fell for the sounds of Michael Kiwanuka. He's a British soul artist with one of the best voices I've heard in a long time. His music reminds me a lot of Ben Harper or a modern day Otis Redding but with its own unique level of charm. Michael's debut album, Home Again is now available and he will be touring the U.S. to support it. I definitely suggest checking him out. I have a feeling he's about to get huge.

I've really been enjoying Polyvore and Pinterest. I created this set as an ideal Kentucky Derby look. I'd love to go someday but this year I'll be in Florida with my sister. We're getting a little bit dressed up and watching at one of the local spots. This year, the derby falls on Cinco de Mayo so I put together colors that were loud and fun. Tangerine and amethyst is somewhat unexpected but I just love the way the colors play together for spring and summer!
